ABOUT THE WRITER

The primary purpose of this website is to develop my writing skills and to write something entertaining and exciting. I 'graduated' from Durham Johnston Comp in 1998 with an E grade in English. I've since become an English teacher, after many years working in factories in North East England, and want to develop my writing into an action style something like Ian Fleming or Dan Brown. The idea to write an alternative history of Formula One came to me while watching the 2019 French Grand Prix, dominated by Lewis Hamilton. I thought of some changes I would make to the cars and the rulebook to make it more exciting and moved the venue to LeMans.

Sammi J. Minkes is an anagram of my real name. I'm from County Durham in North East England and live in Dalian, China. My passion is motorsport and at the age of 31 I entered a competitive kart race for the first time, at Buckmore Park with Club100. Some time after my focus moved to becoming an EFL Teacher and have being teaching since November 2019.
